Pick (‘Em) and Pop- 9/2

Yesterday we had our first of what we anticipate to be MANY undefeated days here from the PnP Handicapping department!

Here’s what we have for today (odds are from scoresandodds.com as of 1:03 PM) :

Florida St. (-12.5) over PITTSBURGH

We’ve conferred with handicappers on this one… and based upon their opinion, we highly disagree.  The public seems to be gravitating towards the home team, who returns a fairly stout defense.  However, athletically Pitt is way over-matched, and we think FSU’s newest QB phenom Jameis Winston should pass his first road test with flying colors against a team that struggled in an inferior conference last season.

St.Louis/CINCINNATI (UNDER 7.5 RUNS)

Both Adam Wainright and Mat Latos got shelled last time they pitched against each other last Wednesday, so naturally we expect both of them to bare down and pitch much better for tonight’s match-up.

Washington (-124) over PHILADELPHIA

At this point, it seems like the Phillies are kind of going through the motions and can’t wait for the off-season.  Meanwhile, the Nats–fresh off last night’s win that we called–are fighting for a chance at a wildcard spot.  That, combined with the fact that Stephen Strasburg has OWNED Philadelphia this season with a 0.59 ERA, should mean a relatively easy win for Washington.

YESTERDAY: 3-0

SEASON: 5-2
