Cue the band. Bring out the cheerleaders. Hide the shady agents.
College football is back, baby!
What a cool game to break-in the new season. A top 25 team in Oregon hits the blue turf tonight, where the host Broncos haven’t lost a regular season game since 2001. In other words, I was cheering on Juan Dixon and Lonny Baxter in Terrapin red while sitting in the student section the last time these guys lost on that trippy-looking blue field (yeah, THAT long ago).
It’s fixing up as an unstoppable force/immovable object type of game. Oregon dropped buckets offensively last year, finishing seventh in the country in scoring at 41.9. Boise State was second in scoring defense, allowing just under 13 a game. Should be entertaining.
Again, I’ll try to get my tweet on tonight, but no promises, not when I have a three-year-old who likes to party like a rockstar until like 10.
Just in case I don’t make it back, I guess I should make an educated guess at a pick. I’ll take the Broncos in a close one, 30-27.
